Karen has wanted to give Zooey a bath for a while, so today got some shampoo at Pet Supplies Plus and did it.

Zooey, relaxing on the arm of the couch, had no idea what she had coming when we got home.

At first the bathtub was interesting.

She was even leaning in.

Then she got the idea once Karen started getting her wet. Karen was mostly the one bathing Zooey while I took photos and tried to keep Zooey from jumping out of the tub.

When she did escape, she'd start trying to lick herself off

only to go back in again

and again.

Really though, she wasn't all that squirmy yet.

She didn't mind having the shampoo massaged into her. Or she had given up.

But once we had to rinse her off and get her really wet, she wasn't that happy

When you get her wet and all her fur mattes down, she's pretty skinny. Her paw looks funny in this photo because she's mid-shake. Karen and I had to round her up a couple of times and get her back in the tub. Zooey was meowing really loud.

She really liked being wrapped up in the towel to dry and was purring as I carried her around.
